Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.

 "This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun. 2 Corinthians 5:17

This devotion is going to be a little longer but this one is so dear to my heart, I have felt this on my heart for a few weeks, but when this verse came to me today I knew it was all connected to exactly what I have been getting signs or words whichever you'd like to call it, about. All theses verses ended up coming down to one thing. The purpose God has for me.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.  Hebrews 11:1

A butterfly cannot see evidence immediately of things changing for it to come out of its cocoon, it takes time. A caterpillar is in it's cocoon 10-14 days before it starts to become transparent, revealing the magnificent butterfly placed inside the cocoon. Once the cocoon becomes completely transparent, you know then it will emerge the day of. Emerge meaning: to become, manifest. Manifest meaning- Clear or obvious to the eye! Perceived by the senses and especially by the sense of sight. Which brings us back to Hebrew 11:1. The number 111 or 1111 has been coming to to me a lot recently. 

I can do all things through Christ which strengths me. Philippians 4:13

Think about what is being brought into your life to strengthen you, to prepare you for your purpose. You have to find strength in your struggle that can help others in theirs. Here's a quote I found the other day credit to whomever wrote it but it didn't have a name on it, Just when a caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly. So today remember that just when you think your life is over, God will send you a miracle. Now to add to all these verses God has been showing me, When this verse was laid on my heart today I started to type it out and it hit me. Sometimes when we're going through so much it's not God so much letting it happen to hurt you, he's letting it happen to change you into the person you're meant to be. The person God has created you to be. He is making you into the person that can accomplish and fulfill your purpose that is meant for you.

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
