Remember the reason for this season.
Today is Christmas, we all got up and opened gifts, and spent time with our loved ones. We must not forget the reason why we celebrate. Jesus came down, was born in a manger, with no clothes or new toys. He was sent down and had to be wrapped in cloths. He wasn't born in a castle to a king and queen and got everything he wanted. He was showing us it's not material things that really matter. If you are feeling down because maybe you didn't get the newest phone, tablet, gaming console, or new car, remember that the greatest gift was here long before we were even made. Jesus gave us the best gift we could ever wish for, salvation. He saved us from every mistake we have ever made or ever will make. I know gifts are wonderful, everyone gets excited over them, and its a great way for us to show love. It's wonderful to give to others, but we need to remember to give others the best thing we ever could, The gospel of Jesus Christ. We should share of Jesus' love everyday. We should give kindness, love, joy, peace, and patience every chance we get. Today we celebrate the greatest gift ever sent to the earth, We must share the Good news every chance we get. Todays verse is really heavy on my heart, as even I am ungrateful sometimes. So today take to heart to joy in giving instead of receiving. Give others your patiences and kindness today, show extra love to the ones who hurt you or have betrayed you. Give them the gift of sharing the gospel.
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
