Time doesn't phase me, ever since it lost its hold on me. ;Part 2
If you recall yesterday's devotion was on "time doesn't have a hold on me anymore." If I'm being honest we all let it have a hold on us sometimes. If we have a deadline or a time we have to have something finished or done by we tend to get stressed. I'm going to be completely honest, my husband had a time sensitive situation that was stressing us both completely out lately. As we woke up and tried our best to fix this situation we hit a dead end. I then began to pray knowing if no human can help my God can change some hearts to fix this. As I prayed I came across a picture it said "Don't worry God is going to bless you in the next hour." I felt it go all over my body that it was God telling me he had this taken care of no matter what humans had to say about it in that moment or how it looked to us. As I had done all I could I left the rest up to God. It wasn't in that hour, but we got a call 3 hours later saying the situation had been resolved, and our deadline had been changed, that we didn't have to worry. I knew it was God and I remembered the picture I had saved. God came through, right on time, not a second late and not a second early. Now some might say but wasn't that 2 hours late, Honestly though, no, it wasn't at all, it was right on time. Same as in the Bible when they thought Jesus was 4 days late for Lazarus, as when Jesus arrived in Bethany, Lazarus' sister, Martha, met Jesus, and told him, "Lord, if only you had been here my brother would not have died. But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask." I honestly didn't notice it until tonight when I type it out but notice the ending of what Martha says, "BUT EVEN NOW I KNOW THAT GOD WILL GIVE YOU WHATEVER YOU ASK." That speaks so much volume, alone. She was beyond broken in that moment she had just lost her brother, but yet she still had enough faith in God to understand that even if he was so called "late" Jesus still could heal him. She had enough faith, that time didn't have a hold on her. Jesus wasn't four days late. He was right on time. If you're feeling behind schedule today don't worry, God has you and your blessing coming right on time. You just have to have faith like Martha. That no matter if you seem behind Jesus is right on time. Trust God's timing not your own. If God does it, it'll never be late!
