Become Humble To God.

 "So we don't look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever." 2 Corinthians 4:18

When we go through things we tend to only focus on the trouble around us, we forget that we serve a God who will never give up on us or give in. We also tend to fix our thoughts on the troubles of life instead of things that last forever. We should focus on the peace of God rather than our circumstances. Next time your going through something really difficult, focus on God's peace instead of your situation. Focus on his love for you, if he died on a cross to save us from our sins, raised the dead to life, gave miracles, and forgave the unforgivable, then he can change your circumstance in an instant. Sometimes it takes us coming to God in a humble manner for him to give us what we ask, when we come to him and say, "Dear God, I don't understand what I'm going through or why I'm going through it, but I trust that your peace will follow me and find me where I am in my struggle. I pray that you let your peace that passes all understanding show me that this is a situation I can endure. Show me how I can let your glory shine through me in my circumstance." When we are humble with God he is humble with us. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor." 1 Peter 5:6 "Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself." Philippians 2:3 "Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens! May your glory shine over all the earth." Psalms 57:5 "He does this to make the riches of his glory shine even brighter on those to whom he shows mercy, who were prepared in advance for glory." Romans 9:23

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
