Being Made New

 'Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. ' Ephesians 4:24

Today let's focus on being a new creation in Christ. God changed us when we became christians, he's formed us into the way he wanted us made. He also has changed us into the people he wants us to be. Today if it feels like you're in an uncomfortable situation just remember change is never comfortable. Think of it like this, they say that when the butterfly is in it's cocoon it is the most stressful time for it, as it's being changed from a caterpillar to a butterfly. If you think about it that's how it is for us, we go through really stressful times in life, but when we come out of it we're the most beautiful we have ever been and the most free. Let's focus on how beautiful we will be when God is done forming us into our new creation. When God is getting ready to level you up,  you'll begin to be uncomfortable.That's just part of the growing process. Trust God to transform you into the person you're made to be. Trust the process, but most of all trust in God. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Romans 12:2 -- "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." Proverbs 3:6 -- "Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow." James 1:17

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
