Give Where You Can

"Your love has given me much joy and comfort, my brother, for your kindness has often refreshed hearts of God's people." Philemon 1:7 

This is how we as christians should be, we should always try to be the comfort and light in someones life, not the one who brings on more stress with what they're going through. We should always help those in need when we can, yes there are times we aren't able to help, but when we are able to and feel lead to we always should. There are so many people that go through silent battles, maybe even you are going through one, and when you are you just want to know someone is there, someone that will listen. So today if you see a stranger give them a soft smile, help where you can, give what you can. Sometimes all someone needs is a hug or just someone to talk to. Be the light and joy in someones life today as you would want in yours. Here are today's verses to reflect on. "Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right." Psalms 97:11 "Do to others as you would like them to do to you." Luke 6:31

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
