Love Is...

"Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud." 1 Corinthians 13:4 

This verse is so pure and sweet, if we really think on it its how love really should be. I read a quote once that stated, put the persons name that you're with or wanting to be with in the place of the word love, if they are all those things they are the one. It's honestly something to think on. What came to me today though was instead of always focusing on if the other person in the relationship is giving enough we should make sure we're giving enough also, we should replace the word love with our name. We should always as christians not only be like this in relationships but in our lives all the time. God is always patient and kind, and doesn't brag, he's not proud. God is ever so perfect, as we will never be. God is an example to us though. Jesus came down to die for our sins, in the time he was here on earth he was so kind to others, always reaching out a hand to help others in need, and be a friend to the friendless. We should be the same today be patient and kind, don't envy, brag or be proud. Here are some verses to reflect on. "It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Prophecy and in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!"

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
