Make Effort For Your Relationship With God.

"He tried to get a look at Jesus, but he was too short to see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree beside the road, for Jesus was going to pass that way. When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called. him by name. "Zacchaeus!" he said. "Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today." Luke 19:3-5

The effort that Zacchaeus made is the same effort we should all make just to see Jesus. He was too short to see over the crowd so he climbed a tree just to see Jesus. Jesus wants us all to make that kind of effort daily just to see him, to talk with him, tell him about our day, if you want a relationship with Him you have to put effort in daily. If you're in a relationship with someone you're going to talk to them daily, if possible. The same should be with Jesus, He should be the first person you spend time with and the last of each day. When you wake up spend time with God, do it throughout the day and before you go to bed. I wake up each morning and read multiple devotions, throughout the day I have conversations in prayer with God, and each night my husband and I pray together before we go to sleep. We must always put effort in for Jesus, He put the effort in to die on a cross and suffer for the sins we had not committed yet. Try to make more of an effort just to see and spend time with Jesus today. That's all he wants from us is a relationship. He is always waiting for us to just get close to him. Remember if you don't feel as close to God you moved he didn't, you can always grow closer to Him if only you put effort in. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world." James 4:8 "And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make ur efforts successful. Yes, make our efforts successful!" Psalms 90:17 "Make every effort to keep yourselves untied in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace." Ephesians 4:3
