Pick Up Your Cross And Follow Christ

"Then he said to the crowd, "If any of you wants to be my follower you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me." Luke 9:23

This verse is actually so deep if you think on it, it says "you must pick up your cross DAILY." It doesn't say once a week, when you go to church pr once a month it says DAILY. Everyday when we wake up the first thing we should do is thank God for giving us another day, thank Him for blessing us with a nights rest, and then we should read his word. When you wake up late for work and say "but I don't have time" listen to a podcast of someone reading the word while on your way to work, or  listen to the christian radio. Just beginning your day with God and His word will change the atmosphere of your day. You'll have your mindset more on your blessings than things you're lacking. So tomorrow whenever you wake up, focus more on God and his plan for your day. Start your day with Him and be thankful for all your blessings. Here are today's verses to reflect on, "Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed." Deuteronomy 28:6 "You are blessed because you believe that the Lord would do what he said." Luke 1:45

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
