Your Sins Are Forgiven, You Are Free.

"Put on your new nature, created to be like God- truly righteous and holy. So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body." Ephesians 4:24-25

When we devote our lives to God and turn to him we become a new creation, we become more righteous and we tend to change. When people know us from before we became a new creation they tend to bring up the past versions of ourselves, which no longer exist. We are made new in Christ, and change our lifestyles and habits. We can never go wrong changing for the good. I read a quote recently that really stuck with me, "trying to hurt me by bringing up my past is like trying to rob empty house, no one lives there anymore." Which is how we should view our past selves. We all have fallen short of the glory of God, but he made a way for us to be forgiven when he sent his one and only son to die for our sins. Today remember your past no longer defines you, you are called for greater things. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ." 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 "Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away." Acts Of The Apostles 3:19 "Come now, lets settle this," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool." Isaiah 1:18
