Faith Over Doubt.

"Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come godly and confidently into God's presence." Ephesians 3:12

When we put our faith over everything else that's when we see progress. There is a quote that I love, "When we put things in God's hand, we soon see God's hand in everything." That's the most beautiful thing, when God puts his hands in all things thats where we see progress. When we are in a situation where we can't see the future or we don't know which way to turn, we have to keep our eyes on God. There is a story in the Bible about Peter and Jesus, they were at a lake, Peter was in a boat, Jesus began to walk on the water, He told Peter to step out of the boat and onto the water. As you can imagine, Peter was terrified, the disciples even asked if it was a ghost. Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, if it's really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water." Jesus replied to Peter, "Yes, come." Peter was terrified of the wind and waves, Peter began to sank, Jesus told him, "You have so little faith. Why did you doubt me?" When Jesus and Peter made it back in the boat the disciples realized it was really Jesus the Son of Man. Sometimes in life God wants us to have enough faith to take a leap of faith that He is asking us to do, and over ride doubt. We have to focus on God no matter how hard the wind blows or the waters rise, God is right there with us. Next time you feel overwhelmed try to remember we serve a God that is over the wind and the sea, there is literally nothing He cannot do or fix. Here are some verse to reflect on today. "Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. "You have so little faith," Jesus said. "Why did you doubt me?" Matthew 14:31 "God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God." Ephesians 2:8 "Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see." Hebrews 11:1 "By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen." Hebrews 11:3 "Then Jesus told them, "I tell you the truth if you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, 'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen." Matthew 21:21

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
