Here I Am Send Me.

"Then I heard the Lord asking, "Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?" I said, "Here I am. Send me." Isaiah 6:8

Reading this verse, saying it out loud and following it through are all completely different things. We can tell God we are submitting to him but it doesn't mean we actually are. We have to do whatever He ask of us, and have faith He will see us through. I've always had the desire to be a missionary, but as I grew older I was scared of heights and didn't want to ride on a plane. I knew that would obviously mess this plan I had up, of being a missionary for other countries. I then had a feeling from God come over me one day, I began to cry because I knew it was from Him, He came to me and said, "You can be a missionary in America, you can travel by car, and still be what you have desired to be." Obviously I haven't accomplished that yet in my life at 21 years old, but my desire was always to marry a minister, to go with him around the globe as he preaches. My husband now, was not a minister when I met him, he was raised by a pastor, so was I, and as he began to come to church with me he fell in love with my church and family. As him and my dad grew closer my dad began to introduce him to preachers he likes to listen to their podcast of, my boyfriend at the time, now my husband, began to listen to them and not long after told me he felt called to preach, as he began to start preaching I knew he was the person I wanted to spend my life with. We have talked of traveling for the ministry, and it's wonderful to be with someone who shares my dream for the ministry. You have to be at a point in your life where you have to say, "God here I am, send me where you want me." I'm at that point, I want what God has planned for me, not what I have planned for myself. God's plans are always better than our own. I know that if I place my life in His hands, I will always accomplish all that He has planned for my life. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!" Isaiah 26:3 "My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the Lord. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine." For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8 "Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes." Ephesians 4:23 "O Lord, what great works you do! And how deep are your thoughts." Psalms 92:5
