What Would Jesus Do?

"Work hard to enter the narrow door to God's Kingdom, for many will try to enter but will fail." Luke 13:24

We as Christians all inspire to live in heaven with Jesus, but what we have to remember that being righteous enough to get to heaven isn't easy. If it was easy to get into heaven it would be flooded with people. The Bible never will lead us astray from what is right, Jesus tells us himself that its hard to get into heaven. The verse we used today is a red letters verse meaning it's words from Jesus himself. When the time comes for each of our own eternity we will face God and His judgement. We will have to answer for all the things we done wrong, and all the things that we messed up on. When that day comes we can't go back, we can't undo what we done, we can't fix broken friendships, we're done. What we said, what we done, how we treated people, how we acted, the attitude we had, the way we chose to live our lives are all set in stone. It's over with at that point we have to hope we done all we could to live right. I'm by no means perfect or even close to it, but each day I do strive to grow closer to God, to grow my realtionship with him, to love others like He would. As a child when we would go to vacation bible school they would give us little bracelets or pieces of paper that said, "WWJD" standing for "What Would Jesus Do." It taught me and many others from a very young age that when we face times in our lives we have to ask ourselves, "What Would Jesus Do?" Next time you're faced with an impossible situation, and you feel the doubt sit in ask yourself "What Would Jesus Do?" Remember your ultimate goal is to live as much like Christ as possible. The closer we are to God, the closer we are to being like him. If we want to enter heaven we must become like Jesus. Next time someone really tests your patients, remember to love and forgive like Jesus would. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "When the master of the house has locked the door it will be too late. You will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Lord open the door for us!' But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you came from.'" Luke 13:25 "And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father." Colossians 3:17 "When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with his disciples. He said to them, "Let the children come to m. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it." Mark 10:14-15 "And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him." Colossians 2:6
