Hell Is Hot.

 "For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their ears want to hear." 2 Timothy 4:3 

This verse hit really hard when God gave it to me today, people now and days change churches every time the pastor doesn't preach what they want to hear. They change churches due to not wanting to hear about how hot hell is and how much sin they have in their lives. I myself love when my pastor preaches on how hot hell is because it reminds me of where I don't want to go. Our ultimate goal in life should be to go to heaven and run far as we can from anything that could lead us to hell. I'm not perfect, nor do I know anyone who is. We all sin daily, but we have to try our best to be the best people we can be. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to change churches when we feel like we aren't getting what we need, but we shouldn't leave a church because the pastor speaks truth and what he is lead by God to preach. We have to remember that not only half of the Bible is true all of it is. Hell is hot, and somewhere none of us should want to go. The Bible clearly tells us in Matthew 18:9 "And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It's better to enter eternal life with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell." We all fall short of God's glory, but we have to strive to be good people. We have eternal life that God wants to share with us, only if we want to spend it with him. No one is going to help you into heaven if you don't help yourself become that better person. We came into this world with nothing, and we will leave with the same. We have to remember that material things mean nothing when it comes down to eternal life. We have to have the focus on the real prize, which is eternal life with Christ. We have to find people, and places that lead us closest to God not away from him. I pray everyday for a better relationship with God, and to be a better christian that can love people no matter how they treat me. Today remember to focus on eternal life and what will lead you closer to heaven. Here are some verses to reflect today. "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears of today nor our worries about tomorrow- not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love." Romans 8:38 "Don't be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28 "You enter only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the way." Matthew 7:13 "For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgement." 2 Peter 2:4

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
