I Was Blind, Now I See.
"I don't know whether he is a sinner," the man replied. "But I know this: I was blind, and now I can see!" John 9:25
As most of you have heard the song your entire life, "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, was blind but now I see." Written by E. O. Excell and John Newton, it's a beautiful song. I love where it says but now I can see. That's how it is in life, when we become a christian we see the world from a whole new view. We see God's blessings start to flow when we get in line with God's plans for us. We have to focus on God's plan for us instead of our own plans. When we get closer to God the closer we get to seeing the world the way he sees it. Before Christ we see the world in a view where sin is okay, a little white like here and there won't hurt right? Once we are close to Christ we see that the world needs more of God everyday, between all the sin, hate, racism, wars, and people just being hateful to everyone. We need God in the world, we need his love and his patiences each day to deal with things in our daily lives. When we feel far from God we see these things in a different view, we have to cling to God and see things as they really are. None of us are perfect and never will be, we never will be in a position where we never sins but we have to strive to be the best versions of ourselves, and best christians we can be. We have to love where it's tough to, we have to forgive even when it feels hard to, and we have to have faith in the most complicated situations. We cling to God in the good times and in the bad times. When we become like Christ we can see fully again. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "So ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch." Matthew 15:14 "Who was ninety-eight years old and blind." 1 Samuel 4:15 "Listen, you are deaf!' Look and see, you blind!" Isaiah 42:18 "I served as eye for the blind and feet for the lame." Job 29:15 "The blind and the lame came to him in the Temple, and he healed them." Matthew 21:14
