Repay with Kindness.

"And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness." James 3:18

It's difficult sometimes to be a peacemaker, especially when someone really sets you off. For example when you walk in a gas station to pay for your gas and the person working the register has a attitude before you say something, it really makes you mad, but when we have Jesus in our hearts and lives we learn to smile and tell them to have a nice day. You have to think of it like it was Jesus who walked in that store, what would he do? The Bible tells us so much about Jesus when he walked this earth, how kind he was to sinners, to the poor, and to people who even done him wrong and betrayed him. When someone betrays us we tend to want to repay them with how they made us feel, but Jesus tells us over and over to never repay evil for evil. When someone is rude to you it could be they're having a bad day, which isn't an excuse but we never know what others go though. You have bad days I'm sure and maybe you don't take it out on strangers, your family, or your friends but you could be taking it out on yourself and not even realizing it. When you feel the need to be rude, or repay someone for how they treated you smile and walk away. When God takes a hold of our hearts we want to help everyone we can, to lift their spirts up, to make them feel loved and appreciated. Be kind no matter what. Here are some verses to reflect on. "Don't let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good." Romans 12:21 "For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12 "For whenever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind." James 3:16 "Finally, you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude." 1 Peter 3:8
