You'll Be Happy You Didn't Give Up.

"For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow." James 1:3

When you're playing a game and you feel like it is impossible to beat the level, you keep trying until you pass it. It's the same way in life when you fail, you get up and try again. No matter how bad things are, how many times we think we can't get through it, we keep on going and we make it past the obstacles and we are so thankful in the end we didn't give up. I went through a rough patch recently, which we all do, and there were times I wanted to give up on me dreams, but God kept showing me a quote, "In the end you'll be so happy you didn't give up." I thought on that quote and I'm sure we have all experienced it. I've been though hard times where I wanted to give up but I kept going and when the storm past I was so thankful that I didn't give up. When the storm past I was happier than I had ever been, I found many blessings in the end. Some times we go through the hardest times in our lives to see the most beautiful days. When you go through a hard remember you have to have rain to make the flowers grow. When you feel like you can't go on push a little further, happiness will always find you if you put your trust in God.  When you're at your happiest pray, when you're anxious pray, when you're depressed pray, when you feel like giving up pray. When we pray through our battles we will never lose them. Don't give up, better things are coming. You'll look back on this period of your life and one day you'll understand why you went through all you did, and you'll realize it taught you a lot. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "Once again you will have all the food you want, and you will praise the Lord your God, who does these miracles for you. Never again will my people be disgraced." Joel 2:26 "The Lord says, "I will give you back what you lost to the swamping locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts. It was I who sent this great destroying army against you." Joel 2:25 "Ask the Lord for rain in the spring, for he makes the storm clouds. And he will send showers of rain so every field becomes a lush pasture." Zechariah 10:1 "Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops." James 5:18

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
