Your Peace Has Found Me.

 "The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe." Proverbs 18:10 

As a child we all had a comfort item, whether it was a stuffed animal, a tv show, a pacifier, sucking our thumb, or even just a toy we loved. It's okay to have things that comfort us, I still do, but we have to remember that our ultimate comfort is Jesus Christ. No matter where we are He is standing with us. He is clinging to us and His presence surrounds us. We have to remember his peace follows us no matter where we are. We all deal with stress and anxieties of our own, the real peace in the mist of our storms are Jesus Christ. He will give us His peace that transcends our understanding the Bible tells us, which means when life throws things at us and we have peace but we don't understand how, thats from God. We don't have to understand why we wake up one morning and all of a sudden the anxiety is gone, the depression is gone, the fears leave, the anger is gone because through the night God sent you the peace you've been praying for. His peace will never be something you can understand, it will come at times you least expect it, it will be the peace you can't explain but you're thankful that you have it. God is the Prince of our Peace, we run to Him and we are safe. When life throws things at you you can always run to God and be safe. He will protect you from the evil one. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety." Psalms 16:9 "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe." Psalms 4:8 "The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade." Psalms 121:5 "But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one." 2 Thessalonians 3:3

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
