Let God Give You Rest.

"So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God." Hebrews 4:9 

We all feel tired at times, tired from the burdens we are carrying, tired from the world around us, tired from the battles within that we don't speak to anyone about, and sometimes just plain tired from everything. The world is so different than it was even 10 years ago, social media changed a lot, we now compare ourselves and our lives to what people show on social media, which we have no idea about what really goes on in their lives. We live in a world where stress is on everyones minds, no matter how at peace we are. We all are tired from things we are constantly dealing with, but we have a God who tells us so many times that He will give us rest. He is the ultimate source of our peace. When we're so drained and feeling like the weight of the world is on us we can go to Him and find rest. No matter what you're battling today, you can find rest in the Almighty God. Go to him in prayer, let Him heal you. Let His peace and rest find you exactly where you are. You're going to be just fine, let God fight these battles, while you rest. See God doesn't need sleep, while we sleep God is at work constantly, putting all things together for our good. Rest tonight in God's peace. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe." Proverbs 18:10 "No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rest in safety." Psalms 16:9 "Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 "Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:19

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
