Put on the FULL armor of God.

"Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil." Ephesians 6:11

My husband and I's anniversary is today, and he bought me new shoes, I had been begging for. As the day went on I looked over at them as I was cleaning things up and God spoke to me, He said "See that's how I work sometimes, in pieces. Like these new shoes I'm preparing you for something new, you will put the armor on and walk with me." It really spoke to me. There are so many times that I've prayed for something to change, but what God is wanting is for us to put on the full armor of God, and then we will withstand the storm. We have to learn to lean on God and put the armor on. Here in this time where God is teaching you so much be patient, and put on the armor. Here are some verses to reflect on. "Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition of all these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:13-16

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
