Tell the Mountain to MOVE!
"You don't have enough faith," Jesus told them. "O tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible." Matthew 17:20
We all have situations we are praying to move and to change, but sometimes they can't until you have so much faith that you imagine it already being changed, and start thanking God for the change before it even happens. I remember hearing a sermon, my Dad preached on one Sunday, he told a story of a woman who had a huge hill of dirt across the street from her house, it blocked the sunset and it really bothered her. She talked to her pastor about it and her pastor read her this verse and said start praying for it to move. She then every evening as she was at her kitchen window she bean to pray to see the sunset, and that the mountain would move, and one morning she woke up and dump trucks had pulled in to the dirt hill across the street, and they began to tear it down. The mountain of dirt was moved, she could watch the sunset each evening. I think that is how life works a lot, we have to pray and keep praying until the mountain is moved. I'm sure if God could create you from the dirt, that God can change simple situations in our life, that seem big to us. Start believing God is moving that mountain, and tell it to move! Here are some verses to reflect on today. "God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God." Ephesians 2:8 "Faith shows the reality of things hoped for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see." Hebrews 11:1 "It is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exist and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him." Hebrews 11:6 "But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!" Isaiah 54:17
