You're on the winning team!

"Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires." Psalms 37:4

Today as I listened to some worship music I sat in awe of how good God truly is. It is amazing that the one who created us loves us enough to forgive us for the mistakes we make, for the times we fall very short of his glory, but not only that, He loves us enough not to hold a grudge. We all have times we make mistakes that are completely unforgivable in our eyes, but He looks down on us with merciful eyes and holds us through everything. Every valley we go through is a lesson in the making, although I'm still learning not to ask God why I go through what I do, I have come to the conclusion that everything I go through is teaching me something in the end. Whatever we go through might hurt but it will never overtake us. Grace always wins. I'm here to tell you that you're not only on the winning team, you're on the most forgiving, most merciful, most loving and most blessed team. Remember you're on God's team. You're not alone. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." Proverbs 3:6 "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10 "Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:17 "Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honoring each other." Romans 12:10

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
