Speak JOY!

“But we must hold on to the progress we have already made.” Philippians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭

Life is never easy, we all have trials but once we start to speak life into our circumstances we begin to see God’s hands begin to work in our lives. It’s kind of like this, you don’t want to be around someone who constantly speaks down on others, doubts, and talks about how bad their life is, you want to surround yourself with people who are excited, happy, and cheerful. That’s how God looks at it, if we have faith in a situation we would be saying “I know God is about to do this for me, I am so excited” instead of all the doubtful words. Today I encourage you to start to speak life into your circumstances. God keeps speaking this to me to write about, someone needs to start doing this. When you speak faith, God begins to work. Here are some verses to reflect on. “But the words you speak come from the heart—that’s what defiles you.” Matthew‬ ‭15:18 “The more words you speak, the less they mean. So what good are they?” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭6:11‬ “I am not even worthy to come and meet you. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed.” Luke‬ ‭7:7‬ “Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.”

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
