Treat Others With Respect.
"Do to others as you would like them to do to you." Luke 6:31
I have learned many things as I've grew up, one being that others don't care the way you do. Now in the world others would say, "treat them the way that they treat you", but as a christian we should say, "No, I'll treat them the way Jesus treats me." This is a act of Jesus' hands and feet on earth, as we always should be. Don't treat someone poorly just because that's the way they treat you. I loved an older show growing up, and it taught to turn the other cheek, even when someone slaps you, as a child that stuck with me. Even if someone is being rude to you, turn the other cheek. The Bible never says treat that person how they treated you, but it does say, "Treat others the way that you would like to be treated." If you want people to treat you with love, kindness and respect you must do the same to everyone. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in law and the prophets." Matthew 7:12 "See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people." 1 Thessalonians 5:15 "Let them turn the other cheek to those who strike them and accept the insults of their enemies." Lamentations 3:30 "If someone slaps you on one cheek, offer the other cheek also. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also." Luke 6:29
