Be Careful What Your Ears Hear.

"Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. Your wisdom was corrupted by your love of splendor. So I threw you to the ground and exposed you to the curious gaze of kings." Ezekiel 26:17

The world today tells us that it's okay to listen to any kind of music we want, but in reality, it's not. I'm not saying we should only listen to Christian music, but I am saying there are songs that have things in them we shouldn't let ourselves listen to. There has been a lot of music that has come out that mocks not only our religion but also mocks God, that is not okay! Music is something that can lead us further from God, if it "wasn't a big deal" then why did God kick Lucifer from heaven when Lucifer began to care about his own glory more than the glory going to God? We have to think about what we listen to before we choose to let that in our lives, I understand there are a lot of songs that aren't Christian that are good that even I still listen to, but I have begun to be more careful about the music I choose to listen too. Jesus wants us to make a joyful noise to Him, so take time today to worship Him with the glory going to Him, not ourselves. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "for anger gives a foothold to the devil." Ephesians 4:27 "So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7 "In addition to all of theses things, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil." Ephesians 6:16 "Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
