Don't Settle, The Best Is Yet To Come!

"But my covenant will be confirmed with Issac, who will be born to you and Sarah about this time next year." Genesis 17:21

Sometimes God doesn't give us what we want because He has something better to give us. We hold on so tight to some things in life whether it be friendships, relationships, or even just material things, that we forget to include God to see if it's what He wants for us. We hold on to things we think are the best for us, but sometimes it's not, because God wants to give us better. How many times have you got something because you didn't want to wait for God to send the better? Look at Abraham, he didn't want to wait on God to send the promised son so he had a child with his maid, God did still send the promised son. Wait for the better! God has it on the way, don't give in just because God hasn't sent the promise yet! "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires." Psalms 37:4 "For the word of God will never fail." Luke 1:37 "We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps." Proverbs 16:9

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
