Forgive Yourself As Jesus Forgives You.

"Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way." James 3:2

We all slip up and say something we aren't supposed to, something not meant for that moment, or unintentionally hurt someones feelings. We are human and we all make mistakes, be patient with yourself as God is. If we are making a goal for ourselves to be perfect, I promise you that you will be disappointed in how you end up messing up. God knew that we would not be perfect, that's why He sent Jesus to be the Savior for us. I'm not saying we should not try to be the best that we can, because we most defiantly should, but we will never be perfect. The only human to ever be perfect, or ever will be, is Jesus. Strive to be your best, but also forgive yourself. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes." Proverbs 19:2 "If your boss is angry at you, don't quit! A quiet spirit can overcome even great mistake." Ecclesiastes 10:4 "Then Jesus said to the woman, "Your sins are forgiven." Luke 7:48 "Is it easier to say 'Your sins are forgiven,' or 'Stand up and walk?'" Matthew 9:5

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
