Keep Marching By Faith!

"It was by faith that the people of Israel marched around Jericho for seven days, and the walls came crashing down." Hebrews 11:30

One thing I've learned is that when you're praying for God to do something, He will often tell us that He will but not tell us how. If you think about it like this you'll understand why, if God explained how He was going to we would constantly be expecting it to happen at that moment, when oftentimes it's not meant for now. If you're walking by faith for Him to do it then you'll know He did it at just the right time. You might not know how, or maybe not even when, but if God said He would do it, you can trust that He will do it. When the Israelites walked around the walls of Jericho, God told them that by the seven days it would happen, He never said how or if it would before the seven days. You have to have faith like them, and keep marching on, because God said it will happen, just when He wants it to and how He makes it happen. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "So the Lord was with Joshua, and his reputation spread throughout the land." Joshua 6:27 "Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see." Hebrews 11:1 "For we live by believing and not by seeing." 2 Corinthians 5:7 "For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow." James 1:3 "I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours." Mark 11:24

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
