Be Thankful For What You Have.

"Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have." Philippians 4:11

We need to learn to be content with what God has already given us, the blessings He freely gives us we should be grateful for. I know it's nice to have the newest car, newest phone, nicest clothes, and the prettiest houses, but that isn't what you need to be happy. I have learned that things that don't last forever can never fulfill your heart with the happiness you're looking for, that happiness can only be found in the everlasting things and the everlasting God. You need to be thankful for what you have before God gives you more. Think of it this way, why would you give someone a million dollars if they did not appreciate the 100 dollars you already had given them? Learn to thank God and be content with what He has already given you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:18 "Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name." Psalms 100:4 "And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:20 "Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever." Psalms 106:1

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
