His Voice!

"I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe." John 14:29

When God tells us a promise in our lives for the future He tells us that so that when the time comes we will know for sure it was sent by Him. God has spoke to me more in the last year than He has my entire life, not because He didn't want to talk to me but because I had too many voices around me to listen to His voice. I watched a video the other night talking about when God separates us. It said "Sometimes You're surrounded by too many voices where you can't hear My voice, from your friends voice, to your boyfriend and girlfriend's voice, and even your family's voice. I'm going to put you in a season where I can teach you how to know My voice apart from others." We have to let God separate us from the world sometimes, we aren't meant to fit in, we are meant to stand out, even if that means losing friends. I know it hurts to lose friends, and even family that you want to be around but you know you shouldn't be. You have to stop sometimes and listen, don't talk but listen to God's voice. Prayer isn't suppose to always be asking God for something or talking so much as it's also made for listening to what God has to say. Take this time of being separated from friends, family and people as a season to learn how to listen to God around anyone. Where God guides Her provides, but if you don't know His voice you'll end up disappointed everyday. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "Listen to me; listen, and pay close attention." Isaiah 28:23 "But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves." James 1:22 "Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you don't listen because you don't belong to God." John 8:47 "Listen to my prayer; rescue me as you promised." Psalms 119:170

Amen!! Listen to God & make time for him. Be willing to listen to his voice over the other voices around you.
