Jesus Didn't Feel Like It Either.

"So please don't lose heart because of my trails here. I am suffering for you, so you should feel honored." Ephesians 3:13

As I was getting ready to write tonight I was tired and drained and didn't feel like writing, as I spoke "I really don't feel like writing at this moment" God spoke to me within and said, "And I didn't feel like going up on that cross either." It really spoke to me, not only because I knew that He was telling me to get up and write but also that even though He knew He needed to die for our sins to give us a way for forgiveness, He was scared and didn't want to do it as a human with feelings does. We all wake up some Sunday and we just don't feel like getting up to go to church, there are days we just don't feel like reading the Bible, there are days we just don't feel like worshiping, there are days we just don't feel like praying, and even days where we just don't feel like spending that quality time with God. See God didn't feel like going on the cross and dying a sinner's death for our sins either, He even asked the Father to take this from Him if it was His will. What we tend to forget is that Jesus felt human emotions the exact same way we do every day, just because you don't feel like it doesn't mean you should stop doing things for God. So get up do that devotion, say that prayer, worship, and go to church next time the doors are open. Here are some verses to reflect on. "Father if you are willing please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will be done, not mine." Luke 22:42 "Then the angel from heaven appeared and strengthened him." Luke 22:43 "How you have helped the powerless! How you have saved the weak!" Job 26:2 "He feels pity for the weak and the needy and he will rescue them." Psalms 72:13
