Keep On Asking!

 "Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7

If you keep asking someone for something after they've ignored you or haven't given you an answer they will then begin to get annoyed, see God doesn't work that way. When we keep asking for something He doesn't get frustrated with us, or mad because we keep on asking. There are times in my life where I've asked God a question it feels like a million times and didn't get the answer, it isn't because He is ignoring me, it's because it isn't time for me to know that yet, but there are also times where God gives me an answer and I get so excited over it and a few days later I feel like I need that encourage again, so I ask again and He tells me again. He wants us to keep asking, it shows we have our faith set on Him and our trust is found in Him alone. If you're praying for an answer and haven't gotten it yet, keep asking, and you will receive it! Whatever you are praying for God will give to you, if it aligns with His will for your life, if not He has better waiting for you. Your answer is right around the corner, don't give up when you're the closest you've ever been before! Here are some verses to reflect on today. "If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking." James 1:5 "But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!" John 15:7 "Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding." Proverbs 2:3 "Give to those who ask, and don't turn away from those who want to borrow." Matthew 5:42

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
