The Strength Behind The Rock.
"So David triumphed over the Philistine with only a sling and a stone, for he had no sword." 1 Samuel 17:50
The enemy fights each of us in different ways but we all deal with battles within, one thing I have learned is that the enemy never wins! The one who gets their strength from God never runs out of strength. Our strength is found in Christ alone as Christians. When we feel like we are losing the war, God sends us strength in the right moment to pull through. When we kneel to God, He stands for us, and no matter who it is or what circumstance He always wins in the end. When Jesus died the enemy thought He won, but three days later Jesus showed him who really won. Look at David, I'm sure when he told everyone he was going to fight Goliath they thought he was crazy. David didn't have faith that his slingshot would be strong enough instead, he had faith that God's strength was strong enough. Goliath was a giant, and David was short, I'm sure Goliath thought, "This will be an easy win." Then God put the strength behind the rock and victory was won. When God steps in there is no doubt of who will win! I can promise whatever you're facing is not too big for God's strength. Let God refuel your strength in prayer today. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power." Ephesians 6:10 "For I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13 "That's why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:10 "He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless." Isaiah 40:29
