Find Him With Your Heart.

“But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭4:29‬ ‭

This verse tells us that we will find Him when we search for God with our whole hearts and soul. I know it's fast paste in the world where we all get caught up in school, work, events, errands, and shopping, but we can't let those things be the king of our hearts. When you're truly searching for God you're breaking away from the things that took up more space than Him in your heart, your heart's focus is completely on God. You can't worship two things at one time, you have to choose one thing to be king of your heart. We forget that our hearts and souls go together, and we have to let them flow Living Water from God. We tend to put other things over God, when in reality if we want Him to put us first why would we put Him last? I read this story of a preacher, preaching to a crowd, a person in the crowd stepped forward and gave God a gift, the preacher continued preaching and so the same person gave another gift, but it wasn't what the preacher was looking for exactly still so the preacher continued preaching. After the preacher continued preaching the same person from the crowd came up and said "I give Jesus my whole heart." That is when God filled them with His Holy Spirit. You will receive God's spirit when you give him your entire heart. Stop holding back, and start holding on to the helm of his robe! Give your heart to Jesus and less to this world. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.”Proverbs‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭ “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’” Matthew‬ ‭22:37‬ “And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:5‬ ‭ ““The Lord your God will change your heart and the hearts of all your descendants, so that you will love him with all your heart and soul and so you may live!” Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:6‬ ‭
