Speak Up!
““If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.” John 15:18
In today’s society we are taught to keep our religious views to ourselves as though we are ashamed of them. We are taught to not speak up about Jesus because it could make someone feel uncomfortable or make them think we are pushing what we believe onto them. The thing is if they only understood as a Christian they would understand why we can’t keep quiet. Imagine someone goes out and buys you a new car, any car you want, and says “if you tell others about this then I’ll do the same for them. They can experience the same gift I have given you.” Why would you want to keep that quiet? You’d tell everyone. See God didn’t give us cars from the cross, but He did give us freedom from sin and death, which results in eternal life with Him. Why should we not speak of all the wonderful things He has done, and how they can also experience an eternal glory with Him just as we can. We shouldn’t let the world change our hearts, but we should change the worlds views on it. Christianity is one of the most hated religions, and as I’ve seen on social media so much lately is people openly speak against our religion and not other religions the way that they do ours. That really bothered me until God spoke to me today and said, “I warned you in my word that such things would happen! I stated that if the world hates you, remember it hated me first.” I realized that even though the world hates our religion that it doesn’t matter, we still have to speak out about our God, because we know He is and always will be the only one true God! Today don’t let society dictate what you know is right and true, speak out about Jesus, and speak out for all to hear! Here are some verses to reflect on today! “The world can’t hate you, but it does hate me because I accuse it of doing evil.” John 7:7 “The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.” John 15:19 “But anyone who denies me here on earth will be denied before God’s angels.” Luke 12:9 “But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.” Matthew 10:33
