Staying Above Water.

“Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”” John‬ ‭13:7‬ ‭

Have you ever been in a position that God places you in but you truly just don’t understand? We all have those moments when God sets us out of the boat, and tells us to walk. The problem is we start to focus on the issues and look away from God, then we begin to slip into the water just as Peter did when he took his eyes off Jesus. When we are in a situation of things we cannot fix or things we cannot understand we tend to give it all of our attention, and it takes our attention off God. If we focus more on God instead of our problems then we will always know the answer to get through them and fix them. See God doesn’t think like us, or see things the way that we do, that’s why when our focus is on God we have no need to worry because what happens is we are focused solely on God and He is fixing the things in and around us in that time. Today make sure you’re focusing on your relationship with God and not slipping in the water as Peter did, if you put your time and attention on God you don’t have time to worry. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.”Matthew‬ ‭14:28‬ ‭ ““Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.” Matthew‬ ‭14:29‬ ‭ “But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.” Matthew‬ ‭14:30‬ ‭ “No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,” Philippians‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭
