The Y In The Road.

“Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭

Have you ever been praying for something and God told you no? Sometimes when we want something God says no, and we get so upset and discouraged, but in reality, we should thank Him for the no's. He’s saving us from something that could harm us or just isn’t meant for our lives. Sometimes God’s no is just a redirection, maybe He has something different planned for you. Imagine this: you ask God to take you to see a mountain. You then come to a Y in the road, to the left is a way up a mountain that you can see in the distance, so, therefore, you want to go left, you want to go to the left, but to the right there are trees, and all you see is woods. God says go right, so you follow God. You can’t understand why God would send you into the woods when you asked for a mountain to see. Behind those trees, as you follow God, you find an open field with a beautiful waterfall, flowers blooming, and a beautiful mountain in the distance. If you had chosen your own path you wouldn’t have found the better one God had ready for you. He knows the plans He has for you, and they are always good! Sometimes God won’t let us follow what we want, because He wants to give us something better. Also remember that when God says no sometimes it’s just not right now, you have to pray and ask God to show you if this is something He doesn’t want for your life at all or just not right now. Trust in God, and let Him lead you to where He wants, it will always be more beautiful than your own will for your life. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.” Proverbs‬ ‭4:26‬ ‭ “He renews my strength. He guides me along the right paths, bringing honor to his name.”‭‭ Psalms‬ ‭23:3‬ ‭ “Those who follow the right path fear the Lord; those who take the wrong path despise him.” Proverbs‬ ‭14:2‬ ‭ “You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.” 2 Samuel‬ ‭22:37‬ ‭
