What Feels Like Is Breaking You, God Is Using To Make You!
““O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.” Jeremiah 18:6
This past week has been battle after battle for my family and me, as I was at my wit's end today I sat in my car and turned my worship music on, and a song came on that said “this is how I fight my battles”, I began to weep and pray because that is how I was and am fighting my battles. In that moment of brokenness and at rock bottom God spoke to me and said, "I am good, even when life is not." How many times have we been in a place of brokenness and we forget that God is still good? I know I even have. I then began to get a revelation on things, because I couldn't understand why I was going through so much at once, it then came to me, "I am the potter, and You are the clay." We always think that when life breaks us down to the bottom that it's the end, or that we're being punished somehow, but that isn't the case at all, it's God breaking you down to build you up better. When people are making things out of pottery clay they break it down and rebuild it until it is the way they desire it to be, that's what God does to us. When He breaks us down He takes the fear, doubt, hurt, pain, and sin out of us to renew us to be better in Him. I know it feels like it's breaking you, but it's actually what God is using to make you. Today just remember that God is good, even when life is not. You won't always hurt when being broken down, but sometimes you will. If God is rebuilding you then God's not done with you yet, He still has a plan and a purpose for you to fulfill. Keep following Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “When Timothy comes, don’t intimidate him. He is doing the Lord’s work, just as I am.” 1 Corinthians 16:10 “For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.” 1 Corinthians 3:9 “Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.” Ephesians 6:13 “He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow.” 2 Samuel 22:35
