Your Heart Is God's Home.
"Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong." Ephesians 3:17
When we put our trust in Jesus He makes our hearts his home, we are strong through Christ alone. See the thing about God is He will save us a million times over from situations we put ourselves in. When we struggle with trusting Him, He still comes through for us, anyways. If you feel like you've gone too far, you've done too much, or been down the wrong path for too long remember that God made a home in your heart the first time you trusted Him. He doesn't leave, He doesn't give up or let you go just because you get further away from Him, He stays in your heart where He made His home. You can always open your heart back up to Him. You still have a chance to have that relationship with God that you've longed for, you don't have to be perfect to make the turn around you just have to make effort. You're the one that makes the decision to change, God can't do it for you, He can only help you. The thing is we think God is like us and holds our mistakes against us, but that is not the case at all, He forgives us the second we ask for forgiveness, He remembers our sins no more is what the Bible teaches us. We are freed from sin the second we decide to let the temptations go and to say "No" to the enemy. Today make that change, get back to the relationship with God that you know that you need. Here are some verses to reflect on today. "No, Lord," she said. And Jesus said, "Neither do I. Go and sin no more." ---------- John 8:11 "Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. Don't be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you. You will no longer remember the shame of your youth and the sorrows of the widowhood." Isaiah 54:4 "And when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices." Hebrews 10:18 "Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins." Romans 3:24
