Ask For Wisdom.

“Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭

We are only as wise as God gives us, something I have been personally praying for is wisdom when reading His word. I want to not only read the Bible but to understand it. When we are reading the Bible we can’t just read to read something, we should read to understand. The Bible wasn’t only given to us for a book but also for a life guide. Today become humble to God, ask for wisdom and understanding to all His words. If we have wisdom in God’s word, we have wisdom in life. The Bible tells us ask and God will answer, He wants us to be comfortable enough to ask for anything! Today ask for wisdom, and it will be given to you! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Then you will ask in my name. I’m not saying I will ask the Father on your behalf,” John‬ ‭16:26‬ ‭ “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.” James‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭ “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!”John‬ ‭15:7‬ ‭ “So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.” Colossians‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
