Be Close To The Broken.
“I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling.” 1 Corinthians 2:3
When people come into our lives broken and hurt we should always help them to be better versions of themselves and not break them down more than they already are. I read a quote once that said, “leave people better than you find them, every time” and it comes to mind a lot. We as Christians need to be the hands and feet of Jesus, always uplifting and encouraging the broken souls. We are here to be nice and help others. Have you ever met someone when they were going through a difficult time and it made you bond because you seen how broken they were? That’s how Jesus found us. In the depths of despair, broken and confused so far from the truth that our eternities would have been in hell. Why would we break those already broken if Jesus helped us out of that? Why wouldn’t we uplift those broken people and help them find the truth of Jesus like we found? Today, if you know someone hurting or broken lead them to the cross where they can be restored and find redemption. Help them find the truth that will heal their wounds. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7 “Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:29 “A glad heart makes a happy face; a broken heart crushes the spirit.” Proverbs 15:13 “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.”Proverbs 17:22
