Gathered Together.

“For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”” Matthew‬ ‭18:20‬ ‭

Have you ever prayed with someone and it felt like God was right in the middle of you? That’s exactly how it is. I enjoy praying on my own time alone, but it’s even better to do it with the people closest with me. This isn’t only about prayer, this is also reading the Bible, doing devotions, listening to worship music, or even just having a conversation about God or questions you might have with others. I always loved being apart of a group where we done devotions or we just spent time together in conversation about God. Today spend time with someone even if it’s over the phone and have a conversation about God, do a devotional, read the Bible or worship together. You can bring the light of God to them though you. Let the light of God shine though you! We are children of God and we need to be surrounded by others who are, it uplifts us and inspires us to be better. When we gather in a church it isn’t only to go and say that we went, it’s to learn more about our Savior and to be around people who believe as we do. If you don’t have a church that you attend to a lot, start to look for one. Being in the presences of God’s children like you are uplift you every time you go! It’s something we all need. Here are some verses to reflect on today. ““I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.” Matthew‬ ‭18:19‬ ‭ “When you supply it, they gather it. You open your hand to feed them, and they are richly satisfied.” Psalms‬ ‭104:2 “Moses responded, “Then show me your glorious presence.”” Exodus‬ ‭33:18‬ ‭ “Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?” Psalms‬ ‭15:1‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
