Plant A Seed.

"I planted a seed in your hearts and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow." 1 Corinthians 3:6

God spoke to me the other day something and this verse reminded me of it. He said "You, as in humans, can lead people to Me, but you can't make them want to live for Me" and as the old saying goes, as those of us from the south has heard a million times, "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink from a trough." We can do our part plant the seed, the preacher can water the seed, but at the end of the day God makes it grow. We all want our loved ones to find God and be saved, but we can't make them want it also. I even have struggled with inviting people to church, and them not make an effort to show up. God made me see it in a different way though when He gave me this verse. When we plant the seed of the Good News in them, we invite them to church, and be the living example to them we should leave the rest to God, and He will work on their hearts. We need to do our part though, it is important. Plant a seed in your loved ones, tell them about Jesus, invite them to church, and be the light in their lives. You are here for a purpose, and have a calling, each of us can help others find God. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭ “For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭ “It is like a mustard seed planted in the ground. It is the smallest of all seeds,” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:31‬ ‭ “The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life; a wise person wins friends.” Proverbs‬ ‭11:30‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
