Your Old Self Is Gone, You're Renewed.

"Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes." Ephesians 4:23

When we give our lives to God and are ready to change, our sins become white as snow. When we are baptized we are washed clean from the past and all of our sins, we become new in Christ, through His Holy Spirit. My dad sings a song in church titled, "The Old Man Is Dead", it always gets to me and makes me cry, but the lyrics are so true for each and every one of us. One of the lyrics says, "The man you see before you, may look a lot the same. I may wear the same clothes and have to same old name. But you're looking on the outside, if you could see inside instead, you would see a brand new man, 'cause the old man is dead." See we might see people who knew us in the past before we changed and got right, and to them, we look the same, but our hearts are a million miles from where it was before. We might have the same clothes as before, use the same name, and even walk the same, but our attitudes and our thoughts have changed. We don't want the things we use to, and we don't let sin rule our lives like we use to do. We are changed through Christ alone. Today, make a step to getting closer to God, let His Spirit renew you, and change you fully. He will make your sins white as snow if you'll let Him. You can be changed and set free. Don't feel bad if you've changed your life completely and they still see you the same, they aren't looking at the inside of you. “He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!” Psalms‬ ‭103:5‬ ‭ “Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.” Colossians‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭ “You grew weary in your search, but you never gave up. Desire gave you renewed strength, and you did not grow weary.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭57:10‬ ‭ “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:10‬ ‭
