You’re Not Too Far Gone.

““If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost?” Matthew‬ ‭18:12‬ ‭‬

We always think that once we get to a certain point that God just gives up on us, but that isn’t the actual way that it goes. See God doesn’t just give up, when one of His sheep stray away He looks for us, always. You think this story isn’t accurate until He leaves the ninety-nine to find the one, and you’re that one! When we stray away, fall into sin, make mistakes that we think are unbearable, God looks at us and sees forgiveness, mercy and unconditional love. He will never run out of forgiveness, no matter how many times you stray away from God, He is always waiting with open arms. Today remember that you’re never too far gone, you can always come back to God. He is waiting with open arms, like the prodigals son. Take that step and come home, God is waiting to bring the one back. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away!”Matthew‬ ‭18:13‬ “In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.” Matthew‬ ‭18:14‬ ‭ “But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.” Romans‬ ‭4:5‬ ‭ “Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.” Colossians‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
