Be Yourself!

“I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.” John‬ ‭17:14‬ ‭

Be unique, it’s okay to not fit in with the standards of the world. We aren’t made to fit in with everyone because if that were how it’s really meant to be then we would have to live like the world does in sin. The reason we are created to stand out is to be a set example to the world as we should live. I use to think that standing out was a bad thing, but the older I’ve got I have came to realize that me standing out to the world, is me being just as God created me to be in the first place. If you feel like you don’t fit it, that’s okay, because around the right people you will fit in. Spend time with those who understand you, but not only that those who understand your calling in God! Once you surround yourself with those who fit what you’re meant to be in God then you’re around the right people. You can’t make everyone see your calling in God to be true, but the people God has set for your life will see it. I had a dream to blog and do social media, so many people never seen how I could do it, or how it could be used for sharing the Gospel, but I seen it because God placed it in my life for me to do! My calling wasn’t for others to do, and maybe that’s why they couldn’t see it. If you feel called to do something for God and no one around you sees it being possible shoot for the stars and do it! That could be the very thing that you need to do! Often times our callings are completely out of our comfort zones, we feel as though people around us will judge us for it, but it doesn’t matter what they think it matters what God thinks. Take a leap of faith in what God has truly called you to do, and if you don’t know what your calling is yet that’s okay too, in the right time God will reveal it to you. Keep doing the things you know to be true that you need to do in your life, and God will do the rest! Here are some verses to reflect on today! “Those who use the things of the world should not become attached to them. For this world as we know it will soon pass away.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:31‬ “Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:9‬ ‭ “God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:23‬ ‭ “So don’t be surprised, dear brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.” 1 John‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
