The True Gift.

“She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.” Luke‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭

As I listened to Christmas music, and as I listened to music the lyrics stated something that we hear a million times around this time of year, but it hit me differently than ever before. The song said, "as He was wrapped up and placed in the manger." At the time I was cleaning around the tree, and I began to think that the best gift of all will never be found under a tree. The very best gift of all was born 2000 years ago to save us from all sins, He came down and was placed in a manger where the sheep would eat from, but He didn't care because He didn't come for himself, He came for me and you. He came to give us eternal life through Him and to give us the grace that we don't deserve. This year as you open gifts think about the best gift of all that was wrapped in cloth and placed in a manger. The best gift of all might have come down 2000 years before now, we might not can see the gift, and the gift might not be under our tree this year, but one thing is for certain that is that Jesus lives in our hearts every day if we let Him, not just on Christmas day. Today accept Jesus into your heart because it will be the happiness that you have always been missing. He wants to give you the world, but you have to want Him to, Jesus doesn't force us to love Him, He is a gentleman and waits patiently for us to want Him. The greatest gift you will ever receive in your entire life is Jesus' love and mercy which renews daily. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:11‬ ‭  “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”” Luke‬ ‭6:38‬ ‭ “And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born.” Luke‬ ‭2:6‬ ‭ “but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.” Luke‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭
