Where Sin Will Take You!

“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:13‬ ‭

Have you ever heard the phrase “Sin will take you further than you want to go?” I sat and thought on it today, I’ve heard it all of my life but have I truly understood it? As I began to think on it, I came to realize it’s deeper than words, it’s our reality of the world today. The world has lost its view on morals and on keeping God in the center of them. What started as something small went to something bigger, they have taken God out of our schools and some of our jobs. We have let them brainwash us on things that we should believe and things we shouldn’t. We shouldn’t let the enemy take us or this world any further. We think us giving in to something small such as not praying in public because it might embarrass us will not lead us astray, but it starts with being embarrassed in public and ends with us not doing it in private. When we give into that little bit of sin it starts small and grows big, like a tiny white lie. When we lie even if it’s small it grows bigger and bigger, although it started small over time when asked about it we will have to lie again and again. It’s best to just be honest and tell the full truth in the first place. Today, don’t let the devil take you down the wrong path, because his intentions are to take you all the way to hell. Jesus came to give you eternal life let God lead you, guide you and uplift you. Say no to sin even when it’s difficult because you’ll always end up in a better place that way. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation. ” Luke‬ ‭11:4‬ ‭ ““Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.”” Luke‬ ‭22:46‬ ‭ ““What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting.” Matthew‬ ‭18:7‬ ‭ “Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”” Mark‬ ‭14:38‬ ‭
