Surrender to God!
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”Romans 3:23
We always think we have to come to God as people who are perfect. The truth is we can come as we all with all of our baggage, sins, and troubles, and He will love us and welcome us with open arms anyways. See we always think God is expecting us to be fixed from all things but the truth is He wants us to come to Him and let Him show us what to change. God isn't expecting perfect, if He was then why would He have sent Jesus the only perfect person to ever live. We are all human, and the Bible teaches that we all fall short of His glory. We are human, which means we will make mistakes and will sin. The truth is we will never be perfect, but we are forgiven. We are under God's grace. God doesn't think of us as people with human logic do, He doesn't hold a grudge about the things we have done, He looks at us with forgiveness. Today, surrender to God's mercy and go to Him with all your mistakes, sins, and the things you're most ashamed of. He is waiting on you with open arms and wants to forgive you if only you'll ask. He waits on us, and all it takes is surrender. You have the ability to change, if only you let God show you the things that need changing. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.” 1 Peter 5:6 “Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.” James 3:2 “He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.” 1 John 2:2 “I will cleanse them of their sins against me and forgive all their sins of rebellion.” Jeremiah 33:8
