Surrender to God!

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ 

‭We always think we have to come to God as people who are perfect. The truth is we can come as we all with all of our baggage, sins, and troubles, and He will love us and welcome us with open arms anyways. See we always think God is expecting us to be fixed from all things but the truth is He wants us to come to Him and let Him show us what to change. God isn't expecting perfect, if He was then why would He have sent Jesus the only perfect person to ever live. We are all human, and the Bible teaches that we all fall short of His glory. We are human, which means we will make mistakes and will sin. The truth is we will never be perfect, but we are forgiven. We are under God's grace. God doesn't think of us as people with human logic do, He doesn't hold a grudge about the things we have done, He looks at us with forgiveness. Today, surrender to God's mercy and go to Him with all your mistakes, sins, and the things you're most ashamed of.  He is waiting on you with open arms and wants to forgive you if only you'll ask. He waits on us, and all it takes is surrender. You have the ability to change, if only you let God show you the things that need changing. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭ “Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.” James‬ ‭3:2‬ ‭ “He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.” 1 John‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭ “I will cleanse them of their sins against me and forgive all their sins of rebellion.” Jeremiah‬ ‭33:8‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
