The Foundation Of Relationships & Friendships!

“For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”” Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭20‬ ‭

Have you ever prayed with a friend and felt as though God was standing there with you? That is God in the midst! He says if we are His followers and we gather together He will be there among us. If you ever need prayer, call a friend and pray together, meet them for coffee or go out for dinner and just pray together and talk about God. The best topic you could ever bring up in a conversation is God. I have learned when hanging with my friends when we begin to pray or read our Bibles together it seems to strengthen our friendship even more. We seem to become closer with God in the middle. My family and I do this thing where if we are spiritually battling or have something going on we all get together and pray instead of doing it separately. It’s like God sits down with us. Often times, when we do this within 24 hours our problems, have been solved! Often times God wants us to gather with other people to pray, not that our prayers aren’t good enough alone but having others pray with you is even more faith! Today if you find time pray with someone, even if it’s your sibling, parent, friend, or significant other. Prayer is something that holds any type of relationship together because it’s where the foundation is built. Building a relationship or friendship with God is like building your house on a rock, but having God taken out would be having a home on the sand. It will never work without God in the middle! Here are some verses to reflect on today! “But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand.” Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭26‬ ‭ “A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ ‭ “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ ‭ “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” Proverbs‬ ‭27‬:‭17‬ ‭
